The Klein Karoo, a creative venue, a ramp, classical music and the latest fashion – the elements of an unforgettable show!!!
During the fourth Klein Karoo Klassique which takes place from 9-12 August in Oudtshoorn the Jamstreet Farm hosts 4 shows amongst them the first for the festival namely the Chic Classical Couture Fashion Show. ” We want to combine classical music with couture and fashion and add a creative show to the festival,” says co-owner of the Jamstreet Farm, Danie du Plessis. The Chic Classical Couture Show promises to showcase the best of South Africa’s fashion.
Four different collections will be on the ramp. First OUR WARDROBE, which is South Africa’s premier, on-line, luxury fashion store, offering ladies unprecedented access to borrow or buy local and international designer wear. The borrow option will revolutionise the way you shop for those special occasions. It’s the convenient and smart way to look fabulous without the hefty price tag. Here, you will find the perfect dress for weddings, black tie events, the races and school dances from top designers such as Gavin Rajah, Catherine Moore, Rosenwerth, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabana and many more.
Secondly RUALD RHEEDER, a Klein Karoo native, started his fashion career designing for various labels and designers and thereafter launched his own signature line. The Ruald Rheeder label has gained tremendous success and popularity and has become one of the best selling men’s labels at YDE and has recently won the coveted Best New Designer award at the 2011 YDE fashion awards.
Thirdly garments of Cape Karoo International’s Leather Division will be show cased.
Lastly couturier Jacques Lagrange completed his studies at the South African Academy of Clothing Technology in 1995, after which he worked for Errol Arendz. Jacques has dressed some of South Africa’s most loved celebrities and has built up a select couture client base over the years, both locally and internationally. He is referred to as the Valentino of South Africa.
The fashion show will take place in the creative Jamstreet Plaasteater, wine and light refreshments are included in the price. Between the different collections live classical music will be performed and a surprise performance by much loved soprano Zanne Stapelberg will undoubtedly be a highlight of this show.
The show starts at 11:30 on Saturday 11 August 2012 and tickets are available from Computicket @ R150.00.
The Jamstreet Farm is just outside Oudtshoorn and also hosts Charl du Plessis, Sterling EQ, The Gugulethu Tenors and Zanne Stapelberg and Minette du Toit-Pearce in Hartstog.
